Received an OAM-sponsored grant for a controlled pilot study head injury and depression, and conducting double blind randomized controlled research into treatment of fibromyalgia.

1986-Present Private practice of psychology: Currently specializing in the rehabilitative treatment of post-traumatic conditions such as closed head injury, stroke and spinal cord injury, PTSD, and depression. Previously specializing in psychophysiological treatment and documentation of injury, including traumatic closed head injury for medical-legal evaluation, Quantitative EEG evaluations (Thatcher Data Base Comparisons), expert witness testimony specializing in post-concussive behavioral problems, psychophysiological assessment and treatment of chemical dependency problems, civilian and military PTSD, soft-tissue injuries, and acute post-traumatic closed wound pain.

Private practice of psychology: psychotherapy of psychotherapists, individuals, couples, families, and children: adjunctive use of biofeedback for emotional, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, dermatological, neuromuscular, pain, and post-traumatic healing. Mean duration of treatment was 7 sessions, with 95% completing treatment in less than 17 sessions. Presented three grand rounds at Albany Medical College and one regional medical college-sponsored CE radio program.

Member of the Board of Trustees of the Jones Boarding Home, a psychiatric aftercare facility. Chaired the consolidation of this agency with two others. (1984-1985)

Introduced biofeedback to the physical and occupational therapy departments of Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, Schenectady, NY, and trained the therapists in its uses in rehabilitation.

Developer of computerized biofeedback instruments, features of which were patented; Developed and designed the Apple II-based "Clinician-Researcher," which served as the forerunner of the "Orion" system from Self Regulation Systems, Inc.; founder of Self Regulation Systems, Inc., Redmond, WA, producer of psychophysiological monitoring equipment.

Founder of Medibase Associates, developer of clinical-research software for the medical/ psychological community, that permits clinicians to automatically use their financial/scheduling records as clinical tools.

Quadrupled clinic's caseload while keeping average treatment duration the same. Sharply reduced the number of students on psychotropic medication. No suicides on campus during this period for the first time in 10 years.
